In short

For investor visa cases such as the E-2, MTroncone CPA prepares the financial side: documentation of where the investment money came from and how it moved, financial projections for the business plan, and the U.S. accounting and tax setup of the company. Eligibility, legal strategy and the visa petition are handled by your immigration attorney, and we coordinate with them throughout.

Immigration eligibility and the visa petition are handled by your immigration attorney. MTroncone CPA prepares the financial and tax side and coordinates with your attorney.

Who it is for

  • Investors from treaty countries preparing an E-2 case with an immigration attorney
  • Entrepreneurs buying or starting a business in Florida as part of a visa plan
  • Immigration attorneys who need a CPA firm for the financial evidence and projections
  • Investors whose real estate or business investment is part of a broader visa plan
  • Visa holders who need U.S. bookkeeping and tax compliance once the business is operating

What we do

  • Source and path of funds: organizing the records that show where the investment money came from and how it reached the business
  • Financial projections for the business plan, built with you and adjusted with your attorney
  • An investment summary that compares the capital committed with the total cost of the business
  • Tax returns, financial statements and payroll records of an existing business, organized as your attorney requests
  • Entity setup and analysis for the U.S. company, coordinated with your attorney
  • U.S. bookkeeping, payroll and tax compliance once the business is operating
  • Coordination with your immigration attorney, including the financial part of any follow-up request
  • Personal guidance on the tax side of your investment in the United States

How it works

Four steps, in English or Spanish.

  1. 01

Meet with you and your attorney

We learn the investment plan and which financial evidence your attorney needs, and in what format.

  2. 02

    Trace the funds

We gather and organize the records that document the source and the movement of the money.

  3. 03

    Build the numbers

We prepare the projections and financial summaries and refine them with you and your attorney.

  4. 04

    Set up for operation

Once the business is running, we set up its books, payroll and U.S. tax calendar.

What to bring

  • Bank statements that show the funds and every transfer, from origin to the U.S. business account
  • Documents behind the money itself: a sale contract, salary records, loan or gift documents, inheritance papers
  • The business plan draft and the expected costs of starting or buying the business
  • For an existing business: recent tax returns, financial statements and payroll records
  • Company formation documents and EIN, if the U.S. entity already exists

Frequently asked questions

Who handles the visa application?

Your immigration attorney handles eligibility, legal strategy and the visa petition. We prepare the financial documentation and the U.S. accounting and tax side, and we coordinate with your attorney so the numbers match the file.

Is there a minimum investment for an E-2 visa?

The State Department sets no fixed dollar minimum. The investment has to be substantial in relation to the total cost of the business, which is a legal assessment your attorney makes; we prepare the numbers that support it.

Which documents show the source of funds?

Usually bank statements that trace each transfer, plus the documents behind the money itself, such as a property sale, savings from salary, a loan secured by your own assets or an inheritance. Your attorney decides what goes into the file.

Do you write the business plan?

We prepare the financial part: projections, startup costs and the investment summary. The rest of the plan is written with your attorney's guidance.

Can you work with my attorney if I live outside the United States?

Yes. We meet by video, receive documents through the client portal and share the financial files directly with your attorney, in English or Spanish.
